Presentations ShunkahaWanagiwin brings an enigmatic and proud elegance rich with dignity, honour, tradition and heritage to her presentations, during of which she is happy to extinguish and expel any stereotypical misconceptions people may have about American Indians and their culture due to unfair representation in the iconic westerns of yesteryear, Shunkaha's clients include: The American Museum, Bath. Bristol Commonwealth Museum. Karl May Festival and Museum (Germany). Hastings Museum. The U.S Army & The American Embassy to name but a few! I speak of life for the Lakotah as it used to be before Columbus had supposedly discovered America, I also talk of the never ending struggle we have trying to live in a land familiar yet alien to us under The White Mans law where we have been made poor and impoverished, people who visit Pineridge reservation don’t believe the ghetto like living conditions we are forced to live in, after the Wounded Knee Massacre on December 29th 1890, 300 men, women and children were brutally murdered by the US cavalry with Hochkiss guns and rifles, whom which recieved Medals of Honour for which have not been recindered to this day! the survivors were taken to the missionary church at Pineridge where above the door was a sign which said Good Will To All Men , the wasicu (white man) Government and law still makes little sence to us as it did back then, one thing is for sure, even now the Lakotah people still know and understand more of the wasicu world than the wasicu will ever know about ours, all the years they have lived on our lands they still do not understand our customs or speak any of our languages, if one thing has been proven it is that Lakotah people are extremely tolerant, its a shame we cannot say the same for our relatively new neighbours. Lakota People are still here, we will remain here, there are millions of dollars in a bank account waiting for us to end our poverty which we refuse to touch, that money has been building up credit since the 1800’s and was for the sale of the Paha Sapa the Black Hills, but like Crazy Horse said, We cannot sell the Land which we walk upon, we do not own the land, we are the land.” For more information on Lakotah Freedom click on the Republic of Lakotah banner on my Homepage or the Freedom and Rights page. lila Pilamaya' ye' thankyou very much.
