I am a song catcher, I like to think that i catch songs from the wind, the songs are normally concerning life, not just my life as a Lakotah Woman but also as a human being, so the subject of my songs are persuaded by many emotions and events, I was raised in a very musical family, both my parents played the Guitar and sung on a professional level.
I use the Acoustic and Electric guitar as a medium to write my songs on which is something I do admit to getting a lot of pleasure from.
I also use the American Indian Love Flute or Courting flute as we call it to add ambience and feeling to a track, being such an old instrument its sound is timeless, sometimes haunting but very pure.
I have two albums which are currently available.
Hello Mother Earth is an album based on the Guitar, both Acoustic and Electric, I do use the flute on this album but as I said earlier it is only as an instrument to create mood and add ambience.
WindSong is an album based on aspects of my culture, most of the tracks are flute orientated but there is also a couple of Guitar tracks on there plus some spoken word.
